Saturday Dessert

So, like I said..left over butter milk what to do what to do.....

pancakes? naw i cant cook those
bisquets? with what just alone nope
PIE...thats it Buttermilk pie and i have all the stuff i need including the frozen pie crust.  So

Buttermilk pie!

Ok, so here i am making this pie.  1st off let us remember Cari CAN NOT bake, Jeremy is the baker, but he is busy and running errands... So, i can do this right? how hard could it be...measure some ingrediants, mix them up and pour them in a frozen pie shell right? RIGHT!

So, mix it all up, zesting my own lemon and EVERYTHING! and I am like ok what the heck is buttermilk pie, i never heard of it let alone had it..but i really needed to off load this buttermilk, i dont want it to go bad. and so i stick in my finger to give it a taste and you know that????? Its dang custard! not that custard is bad, i was just not expecting that.  Oh and it tasted a bit to lemony for me so i added about a tablespoon of vanilla and it made it just right!

Ok his recipe says cook 25 min, that wasnt enough time in my oven, i need to let it go for an additional 16.
